SLS

HuntersRidge Supportive Living Services (SLS) consist of a broad range of supportive services to adults with developmental disabilities. Through the Individual Program Plan (IPP) process, HuntersRidge SLS assist with fostering individuals’ relationships, participation in the community, and working towards their long-range personal goals. HuntersRidge SLS services help individuals exercise purposeful choices and management in their daily lives, including where and with whom to live with. HuntersRidge SLS provides the flexibility required to meet a persons’ changing needs and goals over time, without regard solely to the level of their disability. HuntersRidge SLS Instructors works with the individual to establish and maintain a safe, stable, and independent life in his or her own home.

ILS

HuntersRidge Independent Living Programs (ILS) provide services to adults with developmental disabilities. ILS offers functional skills training necessary to secure a self-sustaining, independent living situation in the community and/or may provide the support necessary to maintain those skills. ILS Services focuses on a safe home environment, including housing access coordination, educational support, healthcare management, meeting essential goals, personal needs, money management, financial resources, life skills, personal hygiene skills, home maintenance & safety awareness, personal/social development and facilitating circles of support. HuntersRidge ILS Instructors works with the individual to establish and maintain a safe, stable, and independent life in his or her family and or care provider home.

Parenting

HuntersRidge arenting fosters the development of parenting skills as a part of the normal activities of daily living for the parenting individual. Choices are built into as many activities as possible to promote optimal physical, emotional, intellectual growth and development for each parent. HuntersRidge Parenting goal is to assist the Parenting Individual in reaching their full parenting potential by teaching and supporting core parenting skills and strategies. Straight Path takes a comprehensive approach to training each Individual. Training components can include parent topics such as parenting in all developmental stages; money management; child safety; daily living skills; healthy relationships, etc.
